Is the 7.75 max dial in correct on the website? I like the idea of keeping the speed of the cars relatively close so I have no problem with it. Just asking because that is quite a bit faster than other tracks.

Since we are an NHRA track it would be nice to follow the NHRA et cutoffs. A 4.50 cutoff or faster in Pro is a little crazy.

1/8 mile john. Just a question, Why is it always the pro class that is worried about time breaks? It's usually not a problem with the Super Pro or Street guys. I've seen this at other tracks also.

One good reason is for Indy. The way the ET cutoff for pro is set up now on the slow side we are pushing some people into sportsman who would qualify to run pro at Indy and on the fast side you are letting some people run pro who won't qualify for Indy because they are too quick.

I normally run super pro with a 7.0 car so I'm used to racing 4 second dragsters but sometimes I will also enter pro. I don't care how fast or slow my opponent is. I was just asking cause it seemed a little out of the ordinary. I can't remember anyone faster than about 5.70 entering a no-box race but I suppose it could happen if rules allow it. I have however raced a lot of cars in the 8-9 second range in no-box.

I think there's a dragster that runs 5.70's with no box.

There are several stick shift cars that run faster than that, who are forced to race in super pro in most cases. It would be nice if they were able to race no box as well.

That's fine if are not worried about going to INdy open the one side of. But when you cutting off the slow side of the class it is getting a rid of alot good racers in our class. If it's a nHra track go by Nhra e.t. guidelines for indy.

I think there's a dragster that runs 5.70's with no box. He was running 5.70 with a throttle stop and got caught using it . He was the one lobbying Bob to open up the fast end. Really doesn't make a lot of difference to me as cars faster than 5.70 have a hard time staying green. Bring em on!!

I hope they don't change the max to 7.75....I like my transbrake quite a bit and don't want to have to part ways with it! Unless Bubba Jones wants to speed up the s10, thatd be okay too!!

Or make it real simple and do box or no box with open et in both categories.leave a true street class for the novice racers and go racing. When Bracket Finals time comes around put your car in whatever class it falls in.

I think you are looking at the Midstate web site. You need to look at Central Illinois Dragway website but Bob doesn't have the rules up yet.
