i dont know if this has been mentioned in another thread or not but i feel it deserves one of its own. it is my understanding that this past week end at the bracket finals was davey's last race, if that is the case then he could not have finished up a great and fairly long career in much better fashion than he did at indy !!!
you have been a class act and a very good freind to my family since we 1st met you and phyllis and you were ALL CLASS up to the very end, the class you showed driving in front of the grand stands after you had just lost a very close race in what might be your last time driving was awesome and i hope you know how much your fellow racer's and family members like and respect both of you. if that was indeed your last race you represented midstate with class and style and a big THANK YOU from the woodmancy's and just because you might be done driving does not mean you cant be at the track teaching young kids about our great sport, and remember you are the MAYOR of midstate so do not be a stranger at the track you did awesome and proud to call you my freind

I AM STILL IN SHOCK WHEN I LOOK AT THE TICKETS AND SEE HOW CLOSE EACH RUN WAS AND MOSTLY DEAD ON EVERY TIME

Davey and Phyllis... it just won't be the same without you there, but without a doubt you will be by now and then. Phyllis....you make THE best sugar drop cookies (I still need that recipe) and THE best hot tea. There have been many cool nights you made me hot tea and we got to talk..loved that. Davey...I will miss watching you race, but I will miss those occasional times when we got to have some heart to hearts my friend. I will love and care for you both always. I still have my DVDs you gave me . Love you both very much~ Melissa
