Anybody have any 9" Ford gears for sale? I'm looking for something in the 4.10-4.30 range, preferably in the Springfield area but for the right price I can travel.
They don't need to be pro gears, street gears will be fine. It wasn't the gears that initially failed, it was the carrier cap which leads me to my next question.
Anybody have a 2.891 carrier cap or does anybody know who sells them?

Been doing some reading and I'm not sure I can replace that cap. What's your experience, is the entire center section destined for the junk yard?

Just as well junk it, you can put another cap on it but the carrier is machined after the caps are installed, it's like swithing main caps on a block, sometimes you'll get lucky and it will work, bul usually it won't!!!!!!!!!

I've got a spare center section I'm going to use but I'll definitely keep you in mind, I'm sure I'll be looking for another spare some day.
Just bought some gears too. Assuming nothing crazy happens with shipping I should be ready by next race day.
