>:(4/7/09 CALLED NHRA TO GET THE TOTAL AMOUNT TO WRITE THE CHECK FOR TO RENEW MY LISC AND MEMBERSHIP,WAS TOLD $50 FOR LISC/$128 FOR MEMBERSHIP TOTAL $178.00.4/8/09 SENT CHECK.4/22/09 WAS SENT BACK DUE TO WRONG AMOUNT SENT.CALLED AND NHRA SAID 4/8/09 THE FEE FOR LISC WENT FROM 50 TO 100 AND SINCE MY CHECK WASN'T POST MARKED 4/7/09 THAT THEY NEEDED 50 MORE DOLLARS.NO LETTER STATING INCREASE NOR WAS I IMFORMED ON THE PHONE 4/7/09 WHEN I CALLED.THIS IS BAD BUSSINESS FOR NHRA.NOW THE BRACKET RACER HAS TO PAY FOR THEM OILDOWNS AND DISCOUNTS FOR THERE NAT EVENTS.GOOD THING I GOT MY IHRA LISC ALSO.

I agree thats bad business, however, oil downs can be very time consuming. We all have seen that. If everyone installed diapers on their engines that would greatly diminish clean up times and maybe NHRA wont raise their fees in the immediate future.

Not only have they doubled the license fee they have doubled the chassis certification fee also. They are trying to make up the money they have been losing by doubling the costs for the sportsman racers. They are looking at the short term and not the long term future. They are going to price theirselves right out of business. IHRA understands that the sportsman racers are having a hard enough time paying their bills and coming up with a little extra to race. They have said that they will NOT follow NHRA with these increases and won't raise their fees at all to the little guy. Good job IHRA!

I believe the fees for Sportsman racers have increased because because turnout at Nat Events have been low. I'm not sure I have seen any discounts at National Events. I have read postings from our Message Board Brethern staing that racing is a business. Unfortunately that is the case.

this hurts the sportsman racer first and then 2nd the local dragstrips when participation goes down. Bad idea.

IF THEY WOULD OF TOLD ME ON THE PHONE WHEN I CALLED OR SENT LETTER OUT FOR RENEWAL OR SOMETHING IN NAT DRAGSTER I WOULD OF SENT THE RIGHT AMOUNT BBBUUUTTTT THEY DIDN'T THERE ACTING LIKE CREDIT CARD CO'S.DOUBLE IT FOR THE RECORD THIS IS NO WAY SLAMMING MIDSTATE OR ANY OTHER NHRA TRACK. JUST NHRA,BET WALLY PARKS WOULDN'T HAVE LET THIS HAPPEN!
