I think you guys are all missing the point. You have someone who has put a lot of effort, time and $$ taking a chance on enough people showing to making ends meet. I commend Pat Rogers for stepping up to the plate. I did the math on this and he is NOT getting rich. Not in the 800.00 races let alone the Million. Here's the skinny: 800.00 win 300.00 ru 200.00 semis(total) 200.00 employees (total! not ea.) _____________ 1500.00 cost to run race divide by: 25.00 entry _____________ 60 entries * LAST WEEK HE HAD 52 ENTRIES! Now buybacks: 15.00 each 24 buybacks (last week) __________ 360.00 total buybacks +1300.00 52 total entries ___________ 1660.00 (he is now 160.00 ahead?? NOT!) He has purchased a Mega 450 with help from Biondos for the points winner. He purchased a 2000.00 entry to the Million with help from Randy and the crew. Neither were free. And so what IF he did make some money for all his effort... **Be happy and count your blessings you have a place to race have fun in the dead of winter!!

I appreciate all the support guys. We are working on some more stuff for you bottom bulb racers for Feb. . I have also talked to Randy and he does not see a problem with bikes being at the million, but he has to check a few more things and get back to me. Here are all the points from the first one. I hope everyone had a good time and will be at one for the Million.

1. I 'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth 2. I am grateful for the action. thank you very much!
but to state it costs $1500. to operate a gathering like this is fuzzy math and a misrepresentation of the economics involved . Over the duration of the whole "series" entries vs. prizes vs. pay out I am sure it will tilt towards the house fine.
the bar was open for usual business. beer was premium price ( no happy hour prices) tree was not new. food was very nice. $200 for help ok. 60 extra bodies at the bar did not hurt a days business. I know the score as far as my participation/ observation.
80% pay out of entries is as fair as it usually gets --to promoter and racers. 100% is spectacular!!! in favor of the racers wow !! we are lucky!! I do get that!! many thanks again !
stating money values and guilt tactics.....to get us to bend a knee in reverence and kiss the ground or ring whatever... being happy and counting blessings???- AMEN- I personally thank you for the reminder...
back to the point >> we are ALL getting something out of this deal, weather we help, promote, play, win, loose, or watch .... now aren't we..

Yes we are all getting something out of it. To me thats drag racing. Thats what makes our sport great. Generally speaking drag racers are a tight group of people and help each other out with anything they can. I have personally seen the amount of work that is going into putting on these events and theres no reason why the people working on it shouldnt get rewarded. Had this been done at another place I would be there no matter who was making what amount of money off of it.

Guys I do not really wanna argue about this. There were 52 entries...27 "bodies" for the big race . 25 people double entered. The bar had pretty much its normal Sat. The math that Jacklyn did is right. The $1500 is exactly what it took to put this on, I think that part of the math is pretty clear. We actually went in the hole after we bought the Delay Box. I just wrote it off as entertainment(like the cost for a DJ or Band). I actually do most of these events so I can see drag racers in the winter. It makes it real nice when I can hang out basically at home and still see racers. Once again if you do not want the entry I am sure that someone who is WILLING to go will make you a deal.

This is ridiculous. Go to Generations Lounge on January 17th pay your 25 dollars per entry, have (prolly) a $50 dollar chance at a $2000 dollar entry. Who cares if Pat becomes a millionaire off the deal? Who cares how, where, or how much he got the prizes from. Not to be rude, but it is not any of your business if he makes a little money. It's not like he is charging a hundred dollars an entry. This is the best paying practice tree race for the entry you pay I have ever seen!!!!! We will see people coming from all over to do this. So if you think its unfair and think its not right for Pat to make a little extra cash STAY AT HOME!!!! You will be seeing me at generations on the 17th cause i would like a shot at the million entry!
