Everyone who thinks NHRA is just the greatest, needs to go national event racing at least once. You would be able to see first hand how NHRA really feels about sportsman racers. They pretty much wish you weren't even there. If it rains, you may get one time run on Thursday and then go straight to first round on Sunday (got to make sure the pros are always on time and on schedule). But make sure you don't forget your checkbook because you are paying for most of the event.

It has been our experience that just about everyone working at a national or divisional event - from the guy that parks you, to the starter, to the safety safari, couldn't be more friendly or helpful. Do we get bounced around if there is rain, sure. Let's face it, people pay $60.00 for a ticket to watch John Force and Larry Dixon go down the track, not the sportsman racers. They have no idea what the sportsman classes are trying to accomplish. That being said, I think that video is so funny because it has a LOT of truth to it. I don't want to start an arguement about which is better, divisional and national event or weekly bracket racing. They both have their pros and cons. As long as you are having a good time, that is what counts. On the bright side, only about 2 more months before the season starts. Something to look forward to on these long, cold, snowy days. Good luck everyone!
