I am looking to see if anyone that is in need of a chassis cert. would be interested in coming to Waverly sometime in the next few weeks. We have a couple of cars that need a cert. and we were told if we could get 10 or so cars that the tech inspector would come to Waverly. It looks like it will be Feb. 5th. By the way just everyone knows the sportsman tag is 150$, the inspector will be charging an additional 30$ per car. We have approximately 16 cars line up. I had hoped that if we had enough cars he might wave that fee but it does not sound like it now. Anyone who is coming should call, we would like to have an idea on time so that we can possibly keep from having a long wait.

Does a car have to have motor and trans in it or can it be a rolling chassis?

It can be a rolling chassis. All they are looking at is the roll cage.

Go to nhra division 3 website, there is information there about all of the remote chassis inspections. I am not sure which one would be the closest for you but I know there is one in Charleston,Il and one in Joliet and another in Cahokia,Il.
